FRITZ!DECT Smart Plugs

Switch and measure plug-in devices

If you have a FRITZ!Box and a switchable FRITZ!DECT smart plug, your SOLIO can switch the plug on and off and measure its consumption. This lets you switch a pond pump or a dehumidifier, for example, without any new cables.

At a glance

  • Switchable FRITZ!DECT plugs with power measurement are suitable, for example the FRITZ!DECT 200 for indoor use and the FRITZ!DECT 210 for outdoor use.
  • Your SOLIO switches the plug via your FRITZ!Box. No extra wiring is needed.
  • You can see the measured consumption in the cockpit under Consumption.
  • A switching function, such as the timer, decides when the plug switches.

What you need

  • A FRITZ!Box with the Smart Home function, in the same home network as your SOLIO.
  • A FRITZ!DECT plug that is already registered with the FRITZ!Box.
  • The login details of your FRITZ!Box: the password and, if you log in there with a user name, the user name. This login needs permission for Smart Home.
  • The plug's AIN. This is its device number. You will find it on the plug's label and in your FRITZ!Box user interface in the Smart Home section.

How the plug is added

Have the details ready

Note down your FRITZ!Box address (usually fritz.box), the login details and the plug's AIN.

Add it in the App Center

The plug is added in your SOLIO's App Center. The details are entered there and the plug is given a name. If you are unsure, your installer can do this for you.

Choose a switching function

So that your SOLIO switches the plug, a switching function is assigned to it, for example the timer or Threshold Control.

What you can do with the plug

Frequently asked questions

I also switch the plug in the FRITZ!App. Is that OK? In principle, yes. However, your SOLIO switches the plug back to the state its switching function provides for. With Manual Relay Control this happens immediately, with the timer at the next switching time. To avoid switching back and forth, it is best to switch the plug only via your SOLIO.

I have changed my FRITZ!Box password. What now? If the password of the login your SOLIO uses has changed, the SOLIO can no longer reach the plug. The new password then has to be entered on the SOLIO as well. Ask your installer for help if needed.

Does the plug need the internet? No. Your SOLIO talks to the FRITZ!Box directly within your home network. Switching functions such as the timer or Threshold Control therefore keep working without an internet connection.

Which devices may I connect to the plug? Observe the maximum power the manufacturer specifies for your plug. For devices with higher power or permanently wired devices, a relay board fitted by your installer is the better choice.

The plug sometimes does not respond. The plug is connected to the FRITZ!Box by radio (DECT). If it is far away or behind thick walls, the connection can drop. Check in your FRITZ!Box whether the plug is connected, and move it closer to the FRITZ!Box if necessary.
