8-Channel Relay Board (KMtronic)

Eight switching outputs for your devices

The KMtronic relay board gives your SOLIO up to eight switching outputs. Your installer connects devices such as pumps, fans, heaters or lighting to it. Your SOLIO then switches them with a click, on a schedule or depending on your solar power.

At a glance

  • The relay board has eight relays. Each relay is a switch that your SOLIO operates remotely.
  • Each relay is switched individually and has its own task.
  • The board is connected to your SOLIO via your home network.
  • Your installer takes care of fitting, wiring and setting it up.
  • In the portal you do not see the board itself, but your devices with their names.

What your devices on the relay board can do

Your installer assigns a switching function to each relay. These pages explain how you then operate the devices:

Finding your devices

Your devices are listed in the menu on the left under Cockpit → Consumption, each with the name your installer gave it, for example "Pool pump". The relay board itself does not have its own page in the portal.

Set-up by your installer

Fitting and wiring

Your installer mounts the relay board, supplies it with power and connects your devices to the relays.

Connecting to the SOLIO

They connect the board to your home network and add it in your SOLIO's App Center. So that your SOLIO can always find the board, it should always be reachable at the same address in your home network.

Assigning functions

Finally, they set up the right switching function for each relay and give each device a clear name.

Qualified electricians only

Devices running on 230 volts may be connected to the relays. Only qualified electricians may install the board, connect devices or change the wiring.

Frequently asked questions

Does the relay board work without the internet? Yes. Your SOLIO and the relay board talk to each other directly over your home network. The timer and Threshold Control therefore keep switching without an internet connection. Only the portal is then unavailable. At home, however, you can open your SOLIO directly in your home network.

My device no longer responds. What can I check? Look at the system status at the top right of the cockpit. If it reports a problem with the relay board, check that the board has power and the network cable is plugged in. If you have recently replaced or reset your router, the board's address may have changed. If that does not help, contact your installer.

Can one relay have several tasks? Each relay should only be controlled by one switching function. Otherwise the functions keep switching each other back.

Can I connect any device? Your installer decides. They check whether a device can run directly on the relay or needs to be connected via an additional contactor, for example. Devices with a plug can alternatively be switched with a FRITZ!DECT smart plug.
